Yea.. i had to cut alot of fat/weight for the swimming... i was 210 last spring...

the job im up for requires alot of swimming endurance...

also as for my eating... ive been doing 5 meals a day generally like this

Morning - Peanut butter toast + protein shake (ON 100% whey)
Mid Morn - fruit salad or Grits
Lunch - 4-5oz. Chicken/Turkey breast sandwhich on wheat
Lunch-Din - Protein shake + 2.5oz tuna/chicken
Din - Talapia (Fish) & brown rice - ps: anyone know the protein count in a 4 oz. fillet ?

Ive also been takin 2000mg of Arginine and 5000mg of Glutamine a day..

What you guys think? Any help on tweaking my diet would be appreciated

It definitely needs some work, but no one can really help you with your diet unless you know what your goals are. Do you know what your macros are?

At this point Id like to start Bulking up my build.. but i dont want to lose my "cut-ness" Is there any special way to do a low-fatty bulking ? Im almost at the point of having abs and I never have so last thing I want to do is throw that all away again.

buddy, i hear ya. however, i think the best way is to just accept the fact that you are gonna lose that sharp look if you wanna get really big fast. that's what i did and now when i cut, i will be even bigger.

just wear jumpers and t-shirts all the time. save the singlets for when you are sharp as a pin

Yea, Just took the PAS-T (physical ability & stamina test) to get accepted into it this month.

I was training for Combat Controller but then I realized I would never be able to do complete the swimming aspect of it.

If you need any info let me know, Im basically a book on Combat Controller / TACP

yeah I'm working on the swimming right now. I am going to MEPS next week so I haven't really done anything yet. I got a 96 on my ASVAB so I'm qualified for every job, but CCT seems like the most fun. What should I know and do to prepare right now? Thanks

Well.. I just like you scored a 94 on my asvab's ... being able to do anything I wanted basically...

To get into CCT (Combat Controller) you have to complete the PAST

Physical Ability& Stamina -Test

The CCT PAST looks like this:

15:00 min 500 meter swim any stroke except breaststroke
20 meter under water swim pass/fail
1.5 mile run 11.30 or less
Chin ups 6 or more
Push ups 42
Sit ups 50

I was able to do everything But the Swim.. and unfortunately.. having muscle hurts you.. being that muscle is so dense.. it pulls you down in water

CCT is a 6% attrition rate...

I wanted to do it but i dont have enough time to train and I dont want to go in with insufficient training, get injured or something.. and then be stuck as trash boy for the rest of my 4 years before i can cross-train into another position.

TAC-P does work alot with the army.. spec. rangers, they go in with rangers and some infantry and call in AirStrikes generally

heres a nice TAC-P clip :)

you definitely need to add a protein source, 30g or so, to your mid morning meal. and maybe move the brown rice in your dinner meal to your lunch dinner meal so your not eating it right before bed, and add a tbsp of penut butter to your diner meal to help slow the digestion of the fish.

hmm... right now the only thing I can't do is the 20m underwater swim - I run out of breath at about 14-15m but I'm working on it.

let me get this straight, if you don't make it through the training then they give you a shit job?

Yea.. dont let them fool you .. I talked to several former CCT's and they all told me the same. If you feel unprepared dont do it...

the 20m swim in my opinion was the easiest thing... im surprised you can do the 500m without stopping. I was up to 40m underwater when I stopped training for it.

Hit me up an email @ LMannino@gmu.edu and if you have any more questions and I can also shoot you some great sites.

most fats are digested slowly and will also slow down the digestion of what you eat with it which is why you dont want any fat in your PWO shake because that needs to be processed very quickly. since you arent going to eat for about 8hours while you sleep you want your last meal of the day digested as slow as possible.

Great tip - how long before its safe for bed when you take in fat?
