Alright all You gurus, pros and everybody else.
Question...

Which out of these two routines would be more intense, give better resuluts, growth/strenght

For example... One can do 125lbs in standing barbell curls for 2 reps

First routine
95x8
95x8
95x6
85x8
85x6
85x6
75x6
75x6
75x6

Second routine
105x6
105x5
105x5

Assuming all reps are positive failures.

So, what You say?

Well for growth I like using 8-12 reps and for strength I like the 2nd routine.

I would suggest combining a set or two from the first routine into the second.

Maybe for a warm up do
95x8
85x12
then start the second routine

personally I like to do drop sets when doing curls, I get better results with growth that way.
