i bought my weights october 23 2006... spent about 2 weeks feeling out where i was comfortable at weight wise and started pushing from there. got on a strict diet, and have yet to stop dieting, although i cant help the occasional cheat, and i havent worked out more than 2 days a week for the last 6 weeks but i havent gained a pound since i took off so i guess thats good... i only took off because i lost my workout partners once they hit their goals and now 6 weeks later when they want to come back i told them i wanted a membership fee:7up:
but as of TODAY i started lifting heavy for some muscle gains as the entire 7 month period all i was lifting for was high reps(between 12-30 ***ending on exercise and energy)
i am tryin to lose the 59 lbs or so i have left in the remainder of the year....
i also got this awesome computer program that keeps track of everything, but i dont know if it against the rules to post the name of it so i will refrain from that until i make sure i am in the clear, but it really helped keep me motivated.... it tracks strength gains, measurements, and weight losses in %. as well as any cardio, heart rate, diet, supplements, and much more, plus you can share your info on their online community....
anyway, i stayed strict on everything and made it happen... not to mention i put down the video game controllers which i partially attribute to my lack of mativation.... if you wanna follow, subscribe to this thread, i am going to post monthly pics now that i am on the downhill side of things, and if anyone has suggestions i am more than open to your help/advice

wow, i made it back in exactly a month.... down to 241, and feeling great... total weight loss is at 112 lbs and sept. 23 will make a full year for me, so maybe i can get another 8 lbs or so off and get my average at 10 lbs a month... here are some newer pics i took last week.... shoulders are really sticking out now when i flex, arms and upper and middle chest are showing signs of life now that there isnt quite as much covering them... still carrying the gut, but that is still a work in progress.... anyway, im outta here, but before i go thank you guys for the support and all the knowledge given out over here

i gotta say, i only thought that that kind of weight loss was only possible through surgery. this is an amazing feat especially considering the time frame. keep it up bro!

funny you should say that, because i know someone personally who had the gastric bypass surgery a month before i started my thing(she was 335 lbs) and the entire time i lost weight at the same pace as her, and i still drank(alcohol, not beer) on weekends, though not too much, and i had a 6 week period where i didnt do very much lifting and she is still only 20 lbs lighter than me, although she has 15 lbs of skin waiting to be removed--or so the doctor told her.....
