I am using a scooper from a GNC whey protien tub to measure out my dextrose and maltodextrin. Then GNC scooper is app. 41 grams of protien. If i use that same scooper, am i getting the same amount of grams per scoop (41)for each the dextrose and maltodextrin? ( taking 50/50 gram of each(i think).

not necessarily, one scoop of their protein could contain 41 grams of protein but not be 41 grams total weight.

he doesnt mean 41g of protein, what he is saying is this...

Serving Size: 1 scoop (30.9g)

the 1 scoop is the the scoop they provide you in the jug.

So now, seeing as how ANYONE can misplace the scoop they give you (you leave it in the oatmeal tub and forget about it) they also put on there that their scoop is EQUIVALENT to 30.9g

they are stating that with there scoop you will get enough grams for the serving stated in the nutrition label

By using the scoop with the capacity of 30.9 grams, can you also use it to scoop up other substances as long as it doesnt go over the rim of the scoop

this part is VERY debatable, because i can fill the the scoop with alot of tiny little metal bearings to the top and i promise you it will weigh MUCH more than 30.9g, this proved to me by using my handy dandy digital scale ;)

so as far as consistancy is concerned, if you measure 1 scoop = 30.9g, then any POWDER form substance you use that scoop with will be that measurement

for oatmeal, i usually scoop an little extra over the top seeing as how the oatmeal takes up much more room than the powder protein

basically the gist of it is.... yes, your 41g scoop if used with a substance OF the SAME consistancy, you will get the same measurement, regardless if its powder protein, powder dextrose, powder malto or basically powder anything

hope this answered your question !!!!
