Has anyone heard that you should not take these together because they fight each other for absorption?

What happens is you have about 5 amino acid transporters. Which means that each transporter transports 4 specific amino acids each. There is a physical limit to how much these transporters can transport at any one time. If you super saturate these transporters with one specific AA then the other three are left unabsorbed, which can lead to a difficiency in the other three. The best way to take in protein is to get a broad source that has high amounts of Essiental AA and equal amounts of other AA.

Maby im just a dummy:chairshot but this still has not cleated anything up for me. So you mean to tell me that when i add 10g glutamine to my PWO shake that the whey protein and the glutamine are competing for receptors? If so when is the best time to take the glutamine? I have always heard that takeing 5-10g of glutamine 30-45 min PWO is best for muscle recovery.

I am going to do this. Have post workout whey protein shake 5-10 minutes after workout and than take Glutamine 30 minutes after workout. I guess that goes for all whey protein shakes throughout the day.
