I am taking 2 weeks off to let my tennis elbow heal for 2 weeks. How much will this effect my gains?

None. Your body actually may be needing it.

Agreed. Going lighter or taking some time off periodically can do wonders for you. Especially when you have plateaued for a while. It really gets you fresh both mentally and physically if you've been hitting it real hard for a long time.

Keep your diet in check, otherwise I think it takes about 6-8 weeks for muscles to start degrading but there again I've read somewhere between 7-28 days you can start losing strength. With 2 weeks off, you may need a warm up session to get your muscle warmed up, but you'll lose near to nothing and if you have been trainng a long time and a well deserved break is required, then your muscle should in effect come back in better shape for growth.

I am fighting staying out of the gym... I figure 1 more week should help my elbow greatly... I have to realize I am in it for the long haul... I am staying the same on my diet,.,. Just have to get it out of my mind 2 weeks will not hurt my growth that much...

I never go more than 7 days! Thats plenty of time if you are injury free!

If you are that hard up to go to the gym just do some legs, abs, calves, cardio. You need to let your body heal.

2 weeks is a bit more than you should do, one week would be better. If you need it to let the elbow heal up, then do some cardio and keep your diet where it should be.
