Alright, I'm a 2 weeks into Bill Starr routine (Hvy day, Light day, Med day), did Light day 2 days ago, and still getting used to program so I didn't end up going that light. I'm pretty wrecked right now, and todays my medium day. Here's the question: Should I

pop some caffeine pills/pain killers, and get through the work out(knowing my lifts will be down), to get used squatting/pwr cleaning/benching(thats the whole routine) 3 times a week

OR

wait till tomorrow and be able to lift slightly more, with better form

I know this sounds like a stupid question that won't really effect my gains in the long run and I'm totally over thinking it, but I just wanted to know scientifically what would be better for my body, if this situation were to happen again.

I use one caffeine pill 20 mins before i workout. I would just drink a cup but i don't have time (i go to gym right after work).

As far as rest times go thats entirely up to you. The shorter you rest the more intense the workout. If i were doing a program like yours, i would want to rest more between really heavy lifts but not as long on the med/low weighted movements.

sorry, I meant time between going to the actual gym(my routine is 48hours), allowing your body to recover before placing stress on it again. Not the time while in the gym waiting to do your next set of reps.

48 is more than enough time. You might still be sore but you'll learn to work through that.

ended up going... hurt but I got through it. I guess I already knew the answer that I should go, just wanted to hear that I should wait to tomorrow so I could skip the workout :P cant blame me for trying :)
