Dermatologist incentives?

Hey!

I was searching through some of the old threads on acne treatment. I have always trusted my dermatologist, but just a thought:

Do dermatologists get money from drug companies to push certain perscriptions? For instance, my doc perscribed Differin for me a while back. There were little pamphlets and fliers about Differin and "how it will work for you" all over the office. See where I'm going?

Drug companies give all doctors benefits to prescribe or advise certain drugs. My father's a doctor and the drug companies supply golfing retreats, box seat hockey tickets, skiing vacations, caribbean cruises etc....

It's sad, but EVERYONE gets kickbacks these days.
