This is not a recipe that I developed, but it's too good not to share.

FAT FREE TUNA PATTIES

1 tin of tuna packed in water
1/4 cup onion, chopped into little bits
1/4 cup celery, chopped up nice and small
2 egg whites
1/4 bag of Quaker Rice Cakes Mini's (Cheddar flavor) crushed into "breadcrumbs" (I put them into a zip lock bag, sealed it and then pounded the hell out of them with my meat tenderizer hammer)

I mixed all this stuff together while I preheated the frying pan, sprayed with Pam. I made bite size patties (about the same size and the mini rice cakes) and fried them up until they were golden brown.

Once cooked, we tried adding:

-lemon juice
-vinegar
-tabasco sauce
-seafood sauce
-cayenne pepper

and ALL were delicious!

I highly recommend this if you diet allows these ingredients.

Breakdown:

Tuna = 35g protein
2 Eggs whites = 6.8g protein
1/4 bag rice cakes = 20g carbs

ZERO fat!

I usually double the recipe, and take leftovers the next day to work.

Also works with ranch and other flavors of rice cakes. And I like dipping in ketchup.

Since I don't have any rice patties, I tried tuna, egg whites,
onion powder and tons of pepper. Nuked it and hmmmmmmmm,
loved it! I didn't think you could you do that with tuna.

Thanx.

Tried these a couple days ago...They were really good. Nice to have a different tuna taste. Eating straight out of the can gets old real quick....

Just thinking the same thing.

The best I got was tuna, onions, pepper and mustard... depending what time you eat it I would either use whole wheat and some pam.... like a grill cheese! Or mixed in a bowl with just cheese and nuke it. Lately its just been mixed in a bowl because I try real real hard not two eat carbs after 3 the latest.

Im gonna try this
:D

My husband made this the other day, and we had no rice cakes, so he crushed up tortilla chips and used that instead. He gave it 2 thumbs up.

I just made some of these.

well ok i cheated a bit, i used just a touch of corn meal and no oil and fried it up in a skillet. It tastes awesome and i can trade that for any other carbs for my day.

Not for keto peeps but it really tastes like a good old fashion salmond patty or something some of us texas boys are used to eating.
