Official League #1 Check in Thread

Okay, in order to streamline the organization process, I'm asking everyone from the original league (from the "who amongst you" thread) to check in with two things: 1)Your team name, and 2)when you are or are not available for a live draft, as that seems to be the general preference. Thanks.

Mutha Scrathas was appropriate at this time.

BG, I am leaving for South America (Chile) today! at 4 and I don't believe I will have access to AR even, I will return on the 15th. So keep me posted if anything pops up this morning.

So how was your trip to my wonderful state? Hopefully you missed all the rain we've been getting here lately and managed to have some fun.

My team name is Florida Fury and I'm free on the weekends (prior notice would help) and generally after 7pm EST on the weekdays.

Alright guys I've never done the Fantasy Football thing before so any advice as to how the draft portion works would be a great help to me. Albeit anyone other than Big Texan and Ripsid, to get that little extra edge they'd talk me into drafting all third string players. lol

DAMN STRAIGHT!!!! In some states it's illegal to walk around with a gun or to drive around with a gun. But here in Texas, it's illegal to "NOT" have a gun on you at all times. :D

any word on draft date or time?? we need to get rolling only 29 days till kick off!! we need at least a week to know in advance of when the draft will be. PN

Agreed...we definitely need to get this off the ground...it's a sweet ass thing we have about to go on here, and I'd hate to drop the ball before it starts. I'm going to do my best to make sure everyone checks in here, as there are still several teams unaccounted for. As best I can, I'll try to figure it out and PM owners who may not be aware of this subforum. If within the next week we still have some AWOL's, I believe I can delete the teams and we can recruit some other members.

With regards to the draft, I really think our best option is to go live..no question about it. In the event someone simply can not make a time (and i'll dedicate a separate thread to live draft availability) I have one friend who is a fantasy league veteran, and, as well all know, fantasy vets love to draft just for the hell of it. I'm sure a few of you have similar friends. If say, Big Texan absolutely can't make draft day, if he were to trust my friend or someone else's friend to draft for him (he could also give me some notes, which I WILL NOT LOOK AT, but simply forward along to my friend doing the drafting...ie, I really want to put a priority on on donovan McNabb OR i'd like to fill the TE position early...shit like that) he could simply hand off his team name and password, and my friend (or someone else's) would simply conduct the draft for the absentee individual.

Let's save face this time around and just do the ranking. It's pretty much the same thing. I'm going to rank my pics before draft day as most people will...so what's the diff?

Maybe next year we can do a live draft if everything runs smoothly here.

Yeah, i definitely can't imagine Fantasy Sports without the live draft...we have to make this happen. I was unaware that people unable to participate could still have autodraft while we were live. THere's nothing like being in the war room and realizing that there's a run on TE's happening while you're still ten picks off!!
