In ages yet to come, when posterity looks back upon the hallowed history of the ARFFL, week four shall be remembered as "the great equalizer", for, as the dust settled on the playing fields following Monday Night Football, not a single remained undefeated.
Dirty Dawgs 145 - Tequila Worms 115
Fantasy Football normally being won and lost in the valuable running back position, the Dawgs (2-2) managed to peform admirably despite their running backs earning a TOTAL of 4 points! Anquan Boldin continues to impress for the Dawgs, while the Worms slipped to 0-3, with much of the blame fallign squarely on the shoulders of QBs Jeff Garcia (4 points) and Kyle Boller (6 points).
Ivy Leaguers 223 - Midgets on Swole 105
After starting 0-2, the Ivy Leaguers (2-2) have won their last two games with a point outburst coming seemingly out of nowhere. This week's production, solid all around for a change, was particularly bolstered by the standout performance of Marvin Harrison (160 yards receiving and 3 TDs). The Midgets (2-2), though decimated by bye weeks in their roster were also let down by a struggling Buffalo Bills team (with five of their starting slots filled by Bills).
Buncha Bums 160 - Hoosier Daddies 149
While many throughout the media echo the sentiment that the fast-talking, smooth-jiving, funny-smelling Daddies got what they deserved in dropping their first contest of the season and falling to 3-1, this reporter must remain impartial as journalistic ethics dictate. While Peyton Manning played his heart out for the Daddies with a record day, the rest of the team saw fit to take a vacation. The Bums (2-2) capitalized, seeing their receving corp make up for the lackluster peformance of the normally high-scoring Patrick Ramsey.
Mutha Scrathaz 169 - Anabolic Texans 90
Hit hard by injuries and bye weeks converging at the most inconvenient of times, the Texans (0-4) fell to the Scrathaz (3-1) in a big way. The Scrathaz continued to display the type of dominant play that one has come to expect from their RB tandem of Jamal Lewis and Ahman Green, both going for well over 100 yards and a TD and two TDs respectively.
Tuefel Hundes 163 - Florida Fury 113
Kurt Warner's injury continues to haunt the Fury (2-2), who have dropped two in a row in his absence. The Hundes (2-2) continue to see solid play from the surprising QB duo of David Carr and John Kitna, perhaps the two most underrated fantasy QBs. Each put together a solid week, scoring in the mid-20's, while Tim Brown finally returned to form of old, catching for over 100 yards and a TD. The Fury were additionally hampered by an "all or nothing" mentality, as players either scored in the 15+ range or 0-2 range with no real middle ground.
Bad Bunnies 185 - Black Fury Whip 181
Both the highest scoring and most closely contested game in the ARFFL to date, this was truly a game for the ages. The Fury Whip (3-1) so incredible all around play, with three players scoring in the 30's (Stephen Davis, Eric Moulds and Chad Johnson)! On this day, however, it was not meant to be, as they ran into the team that happened to have Randy Moss on this week (175 yards and 3 TDs...a decent line for a QB!), though Moss was not the sole reason the Bunnies won the day, as the Bunnies also had the foresight to start Gus Frerotte, and thus benefited twice from the Vikings record setting passing day.
