I also urge that people decide upon charities by going through the BBB - as sick as it is I warn you there WILL be scammers out there claiming to be real charities helping those wounded and dead - they will call or email - legitimate charities don't solicit like that - they wont call or email you - please be weary and make sure if you decide to donate something it is going to the right organization

Thats true Mike, there's also websites with bogus survivor lists stating that certain people have been found, when they are still missing. The Widows and Children's Fund fund is legit.
