    Bridging exercises??

Guys. After doing bridging exercises,do any of you get a dizzy/sick feeling followed by headache and head fullness for a day or 2 after?? Similar to a head cold symptoms!!
Could somebody also tell me of some neck exercises that actually work, besides bridging and head harnesses!1 Thanks

My favorite neck exercise is the four-way neck exercise by Matt Furey. You're in a headstand with your lower legs bent to 90 degrees. The feet stay flat against the wall. Perform lateral flexions and flexions/extensions for desired rep range. Good luck!

get in a sit up position with the upper part of your back not touching the ground. then move your head up and down in a yes kind of motion for 20 reps. the move your head in a right to left (no) motion for 20 reps. Do as many sets as you wish. Bridging is meant to be done if you have somewhat of a strong neck already.

Do you do anything, specifically, for the neck flexors?

Back bridging can be done with a Lifeline Portable Power Jumper on. It will want to pull you back into the starting position of the back bridge. Holding a back bridge while someone sits atop you is another option.

Did you do the bridge on top of your head or on your forehead with your nose touching the floor?

How was your flexibility in your quads, hip flexors, abs, and neck flexors? Matt Furey recommends doing some wall walking to help improve flexibility in these areas.

I'm not sure what is the source of the problem. You could try sherdog.com and see if anyone can find the source. Another excellent neck extensor exercise is placing the head and heels on opposing chairs and holding for time. It sounds easy until you try it!

Simm, obviously there is a physical reason you are not feeling well after you do it. The feeling you describe is what I get too, but mine goes away within minutes. Not sure what the feeling is caused by. Pressure on the skull and sinuses may be it.
However may also be neck.As a bigbore rifle shooter, the feeling is also similar if we fire off too many shots from elephant guns from a bench. This is called 'gun headach'e and can stuff our heads up for a couple of days too. I think this is actually caused by repeated whiplash from the big recoil. The feeling from bridging may have something to do with pinching nerves in the neck region then. I'm just throwing ideas around here.

Lastly, long term blocked sinuses and vertigo problems related to ears can can cause a lot of dizziness and headachey symptoms. A referral to an ENT specialist can clear this up.

Thanks for the info crag..That makes sense to me as recently i have been getting really dizzy just sitting around doing nothing..did weights the other day and after shrugs,i got so pumped up in my neck that i finished earlier than planned and have had headache since....I thought that they were migraines (chronic daily headaches)..i will get referred back to my neurologist i think...last time i had a lumbar puncture,my pressure was slightly high, but nothing to worry about.. maybe it's gone higher now!!!! Thanks again!!!
