    question about training with cleans

    when you guys do celans for football what weight are you using. For example when im benching i usually hit up about 75 percent of my max in sets of 5, same with squats, how do you guys do it for cleans.

    use should use peroidization and go from 65%-90%, bumping the weight up and lowering the reps each time the percentage goes up.

    i just started with 135 and worked 10 lbs every week till i couldnt do a set of 3 reps.. works good

    i do my cleans and snatches with light weight but extremly explosive at lower reps...as in i use 100% of my strength eveyr rep with a lighter wieght but still kep it in perfect form it works excellent for my speed and agility and especially wiht my hittin explosiveness

    do as much as you can with perfect form. I would work my way up to that like stated above, it is a pretty dangerous lift and you can get injured pretty easy.
