forget damon, he is a sellout. What's sad is the Yankees having the highest payroll in baseball history and still not winning any World Series lately. Now they have to get some Red Sox players to be contenders again? Come on!

hunter u gotta be kidding me .... the red sox payroll is right up there with the yankees ... so dont even try to use that excuse ..... and talk about the yanks taking red sox .... u guys just signed john flaherty, a yankee, so there u go ... and if i remember correctly ... the yanks got 26 championships ...so what if they havent won in the last 5 yrs .... every franchise has there highs and lows

baseball is business brotha .... the yanks know it, the red sox know it, the mets know it, the dodgers know it, etc ...

Not to mention so much of the yankees talent is homegrown from their farm system. such as posada, bernie williams, derek jeter, mariano rivera, robinson cano etc. thats about 50-60 million in their payroll right there.

Bro, yanks had a $208 million dollar payroll last year. Thats more than $90 million over any other team. But, you are right baseball is business, all I'm saying is considering the amount of money and caliber of players on the team they should be dominating. No bitchin and cryin here, just ready for the season to start so we can kick some yankee ass.
