I'm looking for a good water strategy for my next contest.
The last contest I did I started tapering my water 7 days out. Monday I went with 5 liters of water then down a liter a day. Saturday was no water and contest day (Sunday) I just sipped on a half liter of water all day.
I also took some herbal diuretics (dandilion root and some other herbals in the mix), sat in the sauna for 30 minutes a day too. I manged to loose about 10 pounds of water.
A friend of mine thinks that tappering the water is nuts. He increase his water intake and then cut it down to nothing 24 hours before the weigh in.
Any opinions out there?
