where to find competitions?

i wanted to enter a bodybuilding competition last year, but didn't really know where to look for them and when i did find one it seems like it was too late. This year i really have been training hard and want to enter a bodybuilding competition.

anyways, i wanted to know where i can find some BB competitions preferably in summer/spring 2003 in michigan or close to.

i'm 18 and have not competed be4 so i was just wondering if there are any specific competitions that are friendly for 1st timers. i've heard the michigan novice is good for 1st timers and is in april but know nothing else about it.

Look on the internet under NPC(National Physique Committe)......find the sponsor in your area--give him a call, and ask for a list of shows coming up in 2003....if its not ready, then they can put you on the mailing list
