    Bicep peak isnt impressive

I have 19" biceps now flexed and cold taken first thing in the morning. Apparently they are pretty big (not pro bodybuilding big but real world big).

It just doesnt look that impressive! The peak isnt very defined maybe it will look better if i get a very low body fat percentage? My arms dont have very much fat on them but I am bulking right now.

What can I do to improve my bicep peak?

I like doing what Arnold says..when you don dumbell curls (mainly seated dumbbell curls since its an Inner curl and hits the outer head) make sure you twist your small pinky finger up so it allows for your bicep to get that peak contraction. Can't explain it real good without a pic. Google it.

*Edited my information since further research deemed it invalid. Thanks Mr.BB

Grip curls to hit your inner bicep
Humm, sorry but the bicep peak is mostly created by the outside head. Preacher and hammer curls hit it the most, but will still be very genetic dependent.

    pure genetics

    and bodyfatlevel

i disagree when mrBB says hammers and preacher work for the peak.

but hammers hit the brachialis more but that got nothing to do with the peak

MMA put a serious effort into controlling the movements that you do for biceps. Don't swing through the peak. Control it, squeeze it, pause it. It'll knock your weight down a bit but that's not the point is it?

Naw, hammers definitely bit the peak.

This is a thing known by many for decades.

I always remember my dad saying that when I was little watching him workout.

Very strict hammers, touching the dumbbell to shoulder and squeezing contraction .

Also very dependant on genetics is how drastic if a peak can happen.

Before my cycle I was able to see my split down the center of my right bicep.

I miss my precycle body fat %

Ya see it's what I do..I accept input then I research and go with the best answer considering what others said, what I research I.e sources etc.. then trial and error I.e results
With that said I take back my answer. Yes I looke at pics of Arnold's bicep and his peck doeas look like it comes from the outer head and I can see how the brachalis muscle can help that peak by pushing it up so to speak..
I wasn't far off cuz when I spoke of the twist of the pinky finger up ..that was on doing seated dumbell curls and that is a inside curl affecting the outer. Head.

Hats off to your mr.BB. I guess it's cuz I lack an outer head since I use to do tons of wide grip curls, I have a dominant inner head which has created a peak in the sense that it's larger and in fact peaking compared to the outer. But since I'm back at it again I'm working on balancing.

Thanks M, but no need to take the hat off

Wide grip curls will target the inner (or long) head of the bicep. Close grip for the short head (outer) which will target the peak. Search for Larry Scott bicep tips for better understanding of the whole thing.

Dont know how a guy like Sil who is always bragging about 20 years of bodybuilding experience don't know basic stuff like this.
