    Free Anti-Virus Program

Is there a good free anti virus program that has a live update that you don't have to pay for. I don't think that it is right for us to pay for something that should before free. Since ALO and others are offering this for free. Why can everyone do this. I download Norton and use it for it free trial period and after that I'm screwed becuase it will not let me download it again and start from scratch. Any Ideas will help, please. After that cyber-rights security problem and a few others I have been finding 6 to 20 virusis a day and now my live update expired i'm just waiting for it all to go to sh*t. Any help will help.

avg is pretty good. it is freeware. there is a version you can buy but i THOUGHT the purchase version was for business and avg was free for personal use.

Thanks for the offer but I just found it for free. I noticed that you compared it yo Nortan but how does it compare to Mcafee?

I havent used the program you're talking about, but I've used PC Cillin, Norton, and McAfee.... and McAfee is second to none, no compare.... Their Firewall is GREAT too, nothing gets past it.

IF you buy the McAfee is it free for ever? Free updates and so on? or do you have to pay a monthly or yearly fee?
