    HDD Trouble

I got my new DVD burner yesterday...upon installing it, my 200GB HD fried somehow...i had at least 40 gigs worth of movies i have downloaded ready for burning....i am so pissed.

**** Western Digital..i have never had a problem until now..so i got pissed and drove to BestBuy and scored a nice 300GB Seagate HDD for $219 ($203 300GB Maxtor at newegg). I thought the difference in price was worth it since i am not a fan of Maxtor and did not want to wait...i am starting all over....

Just sharing my frustrations...my old HDD is not being recognized and it sucks..i would love to get the data off it somehow but i am afraid i am out of luck.

Anyone have a valid XP key?

Man I cant see how installing the DVD burner could have killed your HDD data. You sure its dead ? If they were porno movies its worth saving :-) What happens when you connect it to Windows ?

If you only knew how much XXX movies were on my drive you would **** a brick!

I had the new "One night in Paris" DVD-rip as well...

I am positive i do not have the IDE mixed up etc... i spent hours trying different things and no luck, so i went and bought a new Seagate 300GB HDD.

I am back up and runnning and am downloading on Kazzaa and Azureus. Decided i would go back to XP from 2k Pro. Looking for a good XP serial key generator...i actually bought my copy of XP with my laptop so maybe i can call in and get a new serial? They were bitchy last time i did that.

Anyways, all i need to do now is get my monthly membership at Blockbuster and get to work building my collection.

Newegg.com has an awesome Epson printer on sale for $79 that prints perfect CD/DVD covers onto the actual disc....anybody score one of these yet?

show me a link to this epson printer.

i just use neato labels. print the image on the paper and apply the label using a contraption that came with it.

nevermind found it. reading the reviews.

    http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...103-160&depa=1

but i wonder how the actual cd printing works. do you affix a label first and then stick the dvd in the tray for it to print ? or do you have to buy the dvd's that are ready to be printed on ? b/c i buy tdk's with the silver top, not the white label top

Yes, i am quite sure i even tried various configurations..and notta!

Anyways, that printer is bad ass IMO. From what i read, it prints it onto the actual disc. The DVDs i got from newegg do not have any markings on the top and of course are purple on the bottom. Perfect for what this printer does.

    100 DVD-R for $28
