    sucure e-mail on unsecure computer

    at work(military work) our computers are networked through a massive civilian contranting company. thay bust people all the time for looking at porn ar having obscene e-mails in the microsoft outlook account. would i be able to check e-mails on cyber-rights on those computers or would they be able to see what i was recieving?

    You cannot hide the web sites you visit! The reason is basically they use a proxy server that logs URLs requested by every IP address.

    About the emails, yes, using cyber-rights should guarantee your privacy.

    Practically, it will guarantee your privacy. The only exception is if your firm has the decryption key which is impossible.

    im gonna say chances are very good that they would. im in the military and im sure they keep a good eye on what is being passed around.

    That's messed up that they busted people for having the porno-email. Unless, those people were forwarding it to other military members. You can't really control what's sent to you.

    It is possible to go through their proxy server to reach the net and then do all of your surfing from an "anonymous" proxy server on the net. This way, the proxy server at the civilian contracting company should only show the addy or URL of the online proxy you are going through.

    With outlook...chances are you are configured to use an exchange server thats within their network so any email you send and that is sent to you is able to be copied and logged by the Exchange server admin.
