    Laptop Battery Life

What is the best way to preserve the battery life? I've heard you should let it drain once a month and also avoid frequent plugging and unplugging. I never knew that stuff made a difference. My battery (ibook G4) doesn't last more than an hour tops (after two years). It will go from 40% to zero. Anybody have any suggestions on how to preserve battery life?

Didn't find anything on this. The closest thing I found was to calibrate it within the first week of use. Other than that, nothing...

There has to be a way to recondition it.......... if you can't find it in the manual then call tech support. One call could save you some cash.

Or you can try searching the net for the answer.

Battery and computer are only 2 years old. Just happened again on me, took about 30 minutes to die (battery was around 60% at the time). Was running word and had itunes open, but wasn't using them, just surfing the net.
