web cam wont work?!

Alright I got a web cam, I installed the program and got everything working properly, I used it and everything worked fine. I came home from work a couple hours later and when I went to go use it, it said that it was unplugged, which it wasnt. I unplugged it and plugged it back in just like it said to and it said hardware has malfunctioned/computer does not recognize device, or something to that effect. So i returned it and got a new one and everything was good. I go to work and come home and the second one did the exact same thing. When I try to take a picture something pops up and says 'device is in currently in use by another application. WTF is the matter with this thing, any one know??

there are lots of factors which u may not know and may not link to the cam that do affect it...wut u need is some1 who knows that shit real well and let em do it.

is there a yellow icon next to the webcam in device manager?
