    wats wrong wif media player?

    wheneve i try run a clip or anything off any site the video sound plays but the picture doesnt, it is just loads of bright colours on the media player>

    any ideas any1

    get a different media player ? missing codecs ?

    do you have the latest version of wmp? do you have service pack 2 yet?

    i have all of the things mentioed although i did recently format my hardrive so maybe il do a check for updates

    if u recently formatted, then its the codecs im sure. You could also try VLC media player, i use it to watch movies and it has never asked me for any codecs (it has it all )

    i have done the update but still have same problem. Forgot to mention before that the media i play off my drive works, it is only clips off the net that wont (ie porn etc) lol

    that sounds like a browser problem. hmm? maybe check the microsoft site for help
