sounds like your hard drive is bad
download this and burn to a cd
boot to the disk and it will test your harddrive but if your already hearing clicking its too late

Personally I would delete the account that is giving you problems(back it up first) and remake a new one. That might fix the problem you are having.

^That will help you through if you are unsure.

oh ok its only happening on your profile
and the sound is comming from the speakers then?
not the physical unit...
Probably a start up item/infection playing a looping sound
But yes create a new administrator account and then delete your current one
run the test for the harddrive tho
or check out the website posted
"seatools" or "western digital lifeguard" make different harddrive tests as well
I would also reccomend running "memtest" first to test your memory

Your account is most likely a admin account but there sometimes you can see another account that is just a admin account. I would just leave it.

goto the start menu, click run and type in msconfig
From there goto the startup tab. You may have something running when you startup that is causing the issue, so you can take screenshots and upload to like tinypic and post here.
You can also goto start > run then type in cmd
If you are using vista goto the start menu and type in cmd in the search bar, right click on it and run as administrator.
From the black screen type in:
cd C:\
tasklist > a.txt
From there goto start>run and type in C:\
a box should appear with files and folders, open up a.txt and paste everything from there
From the cmd type in
ipconfig -ab > b.txt
it should appear where a.txt is and paste all the information from b.txt
You are then able to delete a.txt and b.txt once you have posted.
