6'1, 180 lbs, about 11%bf. I have heard so many different theories on diets. This one was basically taken out of a Men's Fitness issue. Says its based on a 180lb male. How many cals you guys think is good?

Oh, then that explains the absurdity!

    Thank goodness it wasn't you.

Seriously, much better info in the sticky. Check out that info, construct your plan of attack, then place it here and we'll let her rip.

I noticed, however I refrained from giving my thoughts on using all of those items when a dietary approach is so poor. Kind of like putting the cart before the horse.

Ok, I have read the sticky, and I need a starting point. I am 6'1, 180lbs, about 11% bf, my cycle is listed above, I want to cut. As of now, not dieting, and take in an average of about 2800-3000 a day. My question is, how many calories should I be taking in for cutting on this cycle?

id say do the harris benedict formula...you can find the site if you do a search then whatever your BMR ends up being drop 500kcals below that number start at that point and as you keep losing weight you can decrease about 30kcals per day per pound that you loose. So right now let say your BMR ends up at 3000kcals then you must eat 2500kcals per day to start with.
