i guess you can go on a bulking diet til you gain your desired weight. just folllow the cutting diet but have a surplus of calories. say 500 cal. by using the cutting diet as a model, you get to gain as much lean mass with minimal fat gain. get lots of protein and no, you can maintain 2-3 carb meals on workout days, first thing in am, pwo and ppwo. good luck

Do a search for bulk diets and you can probably dig up some good examples. Limiting carbs may be the way to go when you're cutting, but not when you are trying to gain weight/LBM.

Try also to use a set up the cutting diet with meal placements, except take in more calories than you burn and do less cardio.

I just use a set up of that of a cutting diet like such:

    On cardio and training days:

Meals- 1,2,3,4 and 7 would be pro/fat and meals 5,6 would be pro/carb
    ------------------------------------------------------------------

On non cardio and training days:

Meals- 2,3,4 and 7 would be pro/fat and meals 1,5 and 6 would be pro/carb
    -------------------------------------------------------------------

    On cardio and non-training days:

Meals- 1,2,3,4,5 and 7 would be pro/fat and meal 6 would be pro/carb.

Here you have a case of try both ways and see what is best for you. D thought you were cutting, but you are not. So, u could have carbs at some meals, but you'll have to see what you can get away with. Carbs at every meal won't yield more lean muscle tissue, no. Carbs don't build lean mass, protein does. Carbs are protein sparing, yes, but fats can be as well. Try your way w/the carbs at every meal, and after 2-3 months see how you look. Then next time, or after that, try Daman's suggestions and see what that gets you.

That's the only way you are going to know. We can't tell you that you should have carbs or you should not, we've no idea.

thanks swole, daman, and everyone else, just a quick question, if i want to make my muscles look fuller and keep the same vascularity what should i focus my eating on? thanks again.just thought that clean carbs like brown rice and whole wheat bread with protein might help this effect.
