    Peanuts=ultimate bulk food?

    Since peanuts have ultra low gi and a very low carb content and is high in good fats and protein does that mean its a ideal bulk food? Would it be good to get say 1000-1500kcal every now and then from peanuts when bulking? 2-3 times a week or so.

    is 100g of peanuts a decent diet meal btw?

    Much better choices for EFAs. Almonds and macadamian nuts are some the best forms of fats from nuts. I would get some flax and rotate your pro/fat meals with almonds in one meal and flax in the next.

    Hum have to check into almonds. I have never seen or heard about macdamian nuts before so I guess its not redily aviable here in sweden blah.

    is there any other cheap nuts that have high protein and lots of good fats and low gi carbs?

    In my opinion, macademian nuts taste like $hit and they are really expensive. You're not missing anything johan.

    I agree, I never buy macadamien nuts just because I dont think I could control myself by just eating one serving. Especially if they are salted.

    Almonds are the sh*t!

    Whatever nut you use, don't rely on the protein from that as a complete source. The benefits of those foods are the healthy fats.

    How do you react to saturated fats? That is the question.

    Personally, I can't eat saturated fats without putting it around my waist. Though carbs seem to have little effect in that regard. Some people are the total opposite.

    Don't forget some chopped walnuts, high in omega 3's and great on salads or with pasta.
