can i overdo efa's?
hey bruhs..please let me know your take on this..
i was having 2509 calories before..300g of pro,154g of carbs and 77g of fats..so i happened to increase the fats by 90 calories..as i think i was losing some LBM. so it broke down to 300g of pro, 154g of carbs and 87g of fats..so everything went well..and my strength has increased..maintained this amount for about 2 weeks..weight has been fluctuating..went down to 66kg within 2 days from 67..so on and so forth..so i reckoned something was wrong..i increased my water..after that..my weight has maintained and not fluctuate so badly..i know i shouldn't base my progress on the scale..but i just have to know how much i weigh.. ok..so yesterday, i dropped my carbs from 154g to 144g..and up my fats to 91.5g to replace the macro lost from the carbs..i'm really getting stronger in my workouts..so all in all, i realised my fats has went from 77g to 91.5g..i'm not sue if i'm overdoing the fats right there..and storing them as extra adipose..my waistline has been constant..30 inches..never been lower.. what should i do?

I would say if your wasteline has been constant than don't worry about storing them as fat.... plus I don't really think you are "over doing" the fats. If anything adding some more healthy fat may benefit your diet goals. And oh yea.... GET THAT FLAX!!! Try adding some fish oil tabs into your diet as well.

Dude you are extremely lean I saw the pics you put in your avatar before this one. I am not too sure if adding extra EFA's will help you gain mass....most likely it will not since you are still on a calorie deficit as is. However, when you start to bulk again adding extra EFA's and using a similar diet outline as you used while cutting but adding more kcals to the mix will keep allow you to gain lean mass w/ minimal fat gain. As for right now.... just focus on cutting up, don't worry about putting on size right now. Best to leave cutting and bulking separate.

I would agree, you're very lean bro. Also, I don't think that adding EFA's will lead to any significant increase in LBM, the way I understand it to be is that you take in your EFA's in a significant amount while cutting, not only for it's thermogenic qualities, but because it gives your body, fat to burn once it's done with the limited amount of carbs, rather than letting your body turn to muscle for food.

hey rock..so i would assume that efa's,as long as i'm injesting the right amount could help preserve LBM..rather than adding any..i've seen your cutting progress..you have done a geat job..great improvement and are very lean too...keep pumping..and lets all improve! regards..egg
