Carb counting bread, is it ok?
I'm trying to lose weight, and I found this new carb counting bread by Arnolds. It has an Atkins label on it saying Net carbs of 6g. Is this a good idea to eat on my diet. I've been doing so a slice here and there.
The contents contain
Total Fat 1.5g
Cholesterol 0mg
Sodium 135mg
Total Carbohydrate 9g
Dietary Fiber 3g
Sugars 0g
Protein 5g
Does Fibers subtract from Carbs making the Net carb 6g??

Net would be 6 yup. Be warned that some of these labels are not accurate, and if you are falling short on your dietary goals, you may wish to take these out until you reach your goals.

Whole grain bread is okay here and there but be extra leary of the carb counting breads like Swole said. Better carb choices exist. Good luck,

Be warned, that stuff tastes like a sponge! I use it sometimes. It has about zero taste. Good for counting carbs though.
