clarify on PWO carbs
i remember seeing a post on here the other day about using honey as a replacment for dextrose in the PWO meal (due to shipping expense of ordering dextrose). swole even agreed that this was an adequate subsitute.
however, on the supplements portion of this forum, someone stated honey was bad b/c it's 100% fructose (as has to go through the liver before the blood stream?) and that eating table sugar or candy would be better b/c they are 50%dextrose/50%glucose.
is this true or is the guy full of ****? basically, i have a similar problem and am looking for an adequate replacement for dextrose (is gatorade better than honey?)

here's the post
heres what was written
Not a good idea seeing as honey is 100% fructose (witch must go to the liver before entering the bloodstream).
If you can't find dextrose the next best thing would be red gatoraide (roughly 70% dextrose). If you can't find that, use table sugar (sucrose- 50/50 dextrose/fructose).
Many candies are 100% dextrose, such as pixie sticks, smarties, ect.

Honey is 40% fructose and also contains sucrose and glucose. Where did this guy get his info?
And why would red gatorade be any better or worse than any other flavor?

Table sugar is pure sucrose.
