    What do you think?

I am doing a lean bulk but during the day I have 3 meals that are farely close together:

    12:00(Meal 2)
    1:30(Pre-Workout)
    and
    3:00(Post-Workout)

My 12 o'clock meal is pro/carb as well as my post-workout meal. My pre-workout meal is just 2 scoops of whey 30mins. prior to lifting. I was thinking of adding a tablespoon of flax to my pre-workout meal, but was just wondering if you guys thought this would be a bad idea, with the other 2 carb meals being so close. The only reason I was thinking of adding flax there was for the sake of getting more calories and some more EFA's, so I can do w/o it, just wanted someone elses .02 on the issue.

Dude, you should never eat just protein at a meal. You should have either carbs or fat with your protein.

Yeah, you need something in there that can be burned for energy rather than protein.

So then I guess I will use the flax. I hadn't actually started using just protein yet. That's why I wrote this to find out first, I have read the whey was a good idea pre-workout, I just didn't know that with the other two carb meals so close, if I should add the flax or not. Anyways thanks guys, just had a brain fart.
