Steamed Brocolli vs. Raw Brocolli
Im assuming that raw brocolli has more nutrients and thus a better health value than steamed brocolli. Can this be confirmed by anyone?

Definitely different, as steaming occurs OVER water, whereas boiling occurs IN the water.

hehe should have worded it correctly, i meant that i thought that steaming over water and boiling in water has the same effect in terms of the vegetables loosing their nutrients.

first of all...
First, brocolli makes everyone FART. That being said, I know that you should steam vegetables over boiling in all cases but if you have to boil them make sure you drink the water they were boiled in to get the nutrients... or you could say screw it and just take a multivitamin!

actually raw broccoli has very little nutritional value, I did not know that until recently. Steaming releases its' vitamins.

This is a forum for questions asshole. Sorry about the flame, he is just pissing me off. Steaming is great. I try to just heat up the food not saturate it. Heating actually makes some foods more nutritious. Tomatoes are one. The heating process makes the Lycopene more availale for your prostate, and Lycopene is an anti-oxidant that is a powerful deterent to cancer and offers prostate protection.
