187lbs and 220g of protein...is this enough
i Currently weigh about 187lbs and i take in about 220g of protein per day. I know this isnt 1.5g per pound but i used to take in 280 but i decreased it and upped fats to try to break through a plateau. Could this drop be responsible for muscle loss? Should i lower fats and up protein a little. Or is 220 ok. I currently eat 95g of fat on training days, and 130g on non training dayz. I dont know if its phsycological but i feel and look like a stick sometimes when i look at myself in the mirror. Its like all i am is a skinnyer version of my self 2 weeks ago. Sorry to complain so much, i know i have several threads that sound somewhat similar i just need some help and im really trying not to stess but its easier said then done thats for sure.

Dude, I may be wrong, but didn't you just make this change a couple of days ago? I think you'd need a few weeks to see what effect your changes make.

Muscle loss could be due to a variety of factors. The first which comes to mind is a decrease in calories and insufficient protein intake. But other culprits which can exacerbate this catabolic effect would be an increase in stress levels on the job or in relationships, less sleep, overtraining, etc. Another factor: are you coming off a cycle? That may increase the catabolism as well and result in muscle loss if not properly addressed.
1.8-2g per pound of LEAN MASS (not to be confused with total body weight) is what is needed if you're training intensely. Less protein and you'll sacrifice gains and any more and your body starts oxidizing it rather than utilizing it (it's like pouring water into a cup - once it's full that's it)

i'm not very sure about this bro..but i do have the same feelings as you..sometimes i look into the mirror and find myself skinny..but when i'm training in the gym, i look cut and thick..i guess its just your mind playing games with you..i constantly measure myself..and re-evaluate my diet/training if i find i lost some size..

oh i think i left this out..are you drinking enough water? if you don't drink enough, your muscles tend to dehydrate and thus look smaller..the more water you can down the fuller your muscles will be..i'm pounding the h20 like nobody's business! i just hated it when i have to get up early in the mornning to relieve myself...urgh~
