    pre-workout meal

    I wake up at 4:30 am and in the gym by 5, how do I get pre wo nutrition in mmy system in that short amoutn of time. I used to wake up early and eat and go back to bed fo ran hr, but that was leaving me tired during my w.o

    well since you really dont have a choice have an apple and a banana whey shake. anything heavier could make you feel lethargic for your workout. maybe even a red bull energy drink could charge you up.

    I don't think anything you eat in that timeframe will be metabolized in time to assist in your workout.

    thats true you need at least 3 hours for food to digest but having something is better than nothing. i get hella dizzy if i workout on an empty stomach, maybe its psychological..

    you don't really need to specifically wait for an hour or after ur preworkout meal so you can train..imo,if you are pressed for time, just get in some protein shake,something light..in your situation,you just want something in ur system to prevent catabolism..jus my 2cents

    I was thinking maybe some of that hydro whey, is supposed to be super fast absorbing with maybe some dex/malt dex before w.o

    no bro...definitely not dex/malt before workout...have some flax instead..

    Just try to keep it light because blood flow is redirected to the stomach for digestion and you will need those RBCs in your muscles.
