FOrgot to add..... post workout is important for glutamine as well, but most whey proteins have glutamine in it already and taking more from what I understand will make the glut from the whey fight with the extra glutamine you are taking or something along those lines.

i think i remember someone writting one time that glutamine competes or makes protien digest slower? if this is so, would it be better or as good to have a protien + glutamine shake before bed rather than a pro/fat meal?

Take L-glut on an empty stomach... i heard that it can help more of it to be digested properly when there is no food in the stomach.
