Why do you do cardio after you eat?

Prevent catabolism. I think if it is just protein, the glucose levels will still be in a fasting state from sleeping. I personally don't think protein intake before a.m. will slow lipolysis. But thats why i am here. Get all kinds of opinions.

    Well, in short, that's false.

Other than my preworkout shake, is anything else off?

Basically I am starving if i don't ingest something before my a.m. cardio session, and figured protein would be the best!

That's the whole point, your body has been in a fasting state therefore fat burning is greater when cardio is done correctly.

Besides, protein alone can cause an insulin spike.

At first glance I would say ditch the oatmeal in meal 4 and add a healthy fat and maybe take a better look at your post workout shake. Most prefer whey w/ dextrose in a 1:2 ratio.

So I am good to go if i cut the carbs from meal #4 and make it a pro/fat meal. No carbs before my training session, just for PWO & PPWO? I'll get some dextrose for my PWO shake.
    Thanks for the tips
