    No shakes for this cutter

    Hey,

just finished a cutter...refer to member cycle results if u wanna know more...but just thought I'd add that its amazing how during the cutting process, I did not depend on protein powders at all (oops! sup companies will wanna kick ma @$$ )..i mean..logic was to eat whole foods that promoted elevated metabolism... worked like crazy..lost about 30 lbs of pure fat and lost virtually no muscle!!! (in fact, may have gained 2-5 lbs).

    any feedback appreciated

    cheers

Swolecat, the diet guru (and i say this with utmost respect)...do not take my statements too literally .. i just meant if someone begs to differ with the opinion i just rendered, i welcome a dialogue and the possibility i could be wrong and learn from it that's all...bodybuilding knowledge is constantly evolving after all. I am not looking for praise, that is to be given voluntarily..not expected or hoped for

Didn't mean to sound like an (__!__) bro, I just really didn't know what you wished to hear back about. Good/bad, both, etc.

no worries bro... its all cool. well, how about this: have you ever had a diet regimen without the use of protein powders? if u did, did it work well for u? if not, why?

I take out shakes the last 2-3 weeks before a show just to eliminate any possible errors, but that's about it.

i can see logic in that... dunno, this time i just wanted to prove to myself that protein powders werent the answer as long as u ate right with the whole foods..just a personal quest.. but now i know it to work..although its bloody inconvenient ...i think i'll probably do what u're doing next time i cut...thanx bro

I like the idea of not using shakes EXCEPT for PWO. However, it is much more convenient when it comes to eating on the go etc....

But I have decided when it comes time to start cutting again I am going to drop my shakes with the exception of PWO & possibly before bed. It seems like a better idea to use real food and I have been reading a lot lately where people have opted to not use protein powder for a protein source.
