    after-work diet

I started lifting and doing cardio after work. I eat lunch at 1, and i don't do cardio until 530 or so , so I have a fairly empty stomach.

I know that after lifting I need a pro/carb meal and after cardio a pro/fat meal. How should i structure the rest of my day?

    thanks

How can u have a fat/carb and a fat/pro after if you are working out then doing cardio? Do one or the other, never both together.

Lay out a outline for critique. No one can present anything for you, nor do we have any clue on your dietary direction/goals/stats/hinderances/etc.

    good point!

i do cardio 3x a week for 60 min after work, and lifting 3x a week , alternating days with a rest day usually on Sunday.

I am in a cutting phase, so i'm basically looking to lean out.

im around 5'7 145 and a relatively low BF, but not sure the actual %.

Is that enough info? sorry, relatively new to the boards.

    thanks

You are cutting at 145? How much lean mass do you have? Just curious, as you may be more well-served body composition wise to add some lean mass to your frame instead of dieting/doing cardio. Check the stickies above for suggestions on how to construct a cutting diet or a bulking one, and we can go from there. This is a great place to learn, that's for sure.

Yea i know i'm a low weight, but my biggest goal is to have a six pack rather than to add muscle mass. I feel like cutting would be the quickest way to achieve it.

I agree..... I would do a lean bulker & add some cardio for 35 minutes a few days a week. A lot of guys can still low bodyfat while bulking given the right diet and cardio setup
