    Trading carbs for carbs ?

    Would it be okey to trade a 50g carbs shake for 1.5bananas ? (1banana containing 32g carbs 1g protein and 0g fat)
    Or is there something about bananas that I should know and why they cannot be used in a good bulk diet ?

    They contain fructose, even for PWO, I wouldnt have it. Dont quote me on it, because I dont know for sure, and I may sound dumb, but doesnt fructose first go through your kidneys or somethin before it gets digested by your liver? Either way, I believe it is the slowest digesting sugar. Maybe someone else can ellaborate.

    Im having to much Carb shakes , most of them i use as supplement on my meals , I would like to eat more real food . I allready eat almost 250g of brown rice ( or any pasta ) each meal. Im not looking into fruit im just looking for an good tasty alternative for a 50g carb shake.

    Why a banana though? As I'm sure you know, all carbs are not created equal. Trading the carbs isn't the problem, it's just what you're wanting to trade it with. But I used bananas sometimes when I was cutting and did just fine, so I'm sure it wouldn't hurt too much on a bulk, but there are better choices for sure.

    like what rocky stated..all carbs are not created equal..you definitely do not want to trade a hi Gi carb with a low Gi carb after your workout kinda thing..i hope you get the picture bro..

    Exactly what I was thinking. You don't want your insulin levels that high all day no matter what your doing. You're just asking for trouble. How often are you drinking these shakes?

    Thank god i asked now , im in day 3 of my cycle , i thought i was drinking "good" carbs. What is wrong with my shakes ? What carb shakes are good then ? I mean for lets say a PWO shake , im drinking 30g protein and 60g of that stuff . Is oatmeal good for PWO ?


    Update : Just found that oatmeel is indeed good for PWO. Tnx for pointing me on this . Ill now try finding some dextrose.

    Oats suck donkey d*ck pwo.......

    Ya don't have to have "carb shakes" during the day, unless you are a true hard-gainer who cannot gain weight even eating Crisco w/dextrose. Usually carb/lean protein meals are fine, with shakes thrown in between those meals containing whey protein and some healthy fat.

    lmao swole.... crisco with dextrose

    and btw, oats are good for PPWO, you want dextrose PWO. Those, and green beans are almost all my carb sources on most days.
