Can someone explain in english or simplify why you need your maltodextrin and dextrose with your protein after your workout? I know you get an insulin spike, but what actually is going on? I've read people are injecting insulin! Also do you take PWO on non workout days? Do fruits and foods with high sugar cause the same effects and should be avoided? Thanks!!!

1.) along with the insulin spike the fast acting carbs in dex shuttle the protein to your muscle to repair lost muscle gycogen
2.) no PWO if there is no WO, so if you dont lift that day, then dont take it
3.) fruits do not have the same effect b/c the sugar in them is fructose, and that goes to repair liver stores and not muscle gycogen
