I'm sure this isn't news to anyone on here as everyone realizes the different brands of tuna have slightly different nutritional value but I didn't realize quite how big of a difference there was in some until this weekend.
I usually buy Polar White Albacore tuna, this weekend I asked my BF to pickup some tuna at the store, he bought StarKist Chunk Light. I was comparing the differences in the two and here's what I found, note that both cans of tuna are 6oz cans:
POLAR White Albacore
Serving Size: 2oz
Servings per container 3
Calories 70
Fat 0.5g
Total Carbs 0g
Protein 16g
STARKIST Chunk Light
Serving Size: 2oz
Servings per container 2.5
Calories 60
Fat 0.5g
Total Carbs 0g
Protein 13g
StarKist must add more water to their containers since there is less servings per can. So if you ate a whole can of each you would get 32.5g Protein with StarKist and 48g Protein with Polar... quite a difference.
