does fat supplement protien?
hey guys,
this is a stupid question, but i haven't been to clear on it
when protien isn't used it's stored as fat, does this mean, when say, somebody works out, the protien in the fat instantly starts rebuildiing muscle w/o the extra protien of the regular shake?

so what purpose does fat serve if not to reserve energy to the body for rebuilding?

What he is saying is that once the excess protein is converted to fat in your body, it can't be converted back to protein for use in your body.

fat
is used as an energy reserve. so, when somethign is converted to fat....it cant be converted back into another substance. it's now fat....used for energy. if you are taking in enough carbs and calories to supply your body with energy, you body won't have a need to use the fat, so it's stored. hence the need of limiting your intake to force your body to use stored fat instead of storing more. you still need protein to build the muscle.
