    Question low carb milk?

what do yall think about it? its fat free low carb milk, tastes great in shakes.

it has 12g protein per cup
    3g sugar
    0fat
    and 70cals i think...

would this be ok for a pwo shake? if i made the shake with 2 scoops whey, 2 cups the carb counting milk, and a banana???? i'm putting the banana in temporarily cause i'm on clen for the potassium and for the sugar until i get a bag of dextrose and some potassium supplements!

    this all good?

    Exclamation

btw i'm talking about for PWO shake, and ppwo only.

my ppwo meal is 1/2cup oatmeal, 4eggwhites (pasteurized), 2 scoops whey, and the milk maybe????

i would have meat or something but this cuts into my working hours, and i only get a break long enough to slam this down!

No. It's not OK for PWO, as you want digestion to occur quickly, so use water. Milk slows digestion. It's great for making shakes any other time during the day.

My favorite night time shake is:

    1 scoop Isopure
    1 cup low carb milk
    2 tbsp natty pb
2 tbsp fat free cool whip
    ice cubes

    Question digestion

i understand that milk slows digestion, but that is the lactose that interferes with your GI tract. This milk has no lactose in it, so how would it slow digestion?

    just wondering

besides you want dextrose in your pwo shake to restore muscle gylcogen. Adding other things to your shake will decrease the insulin spike you get from the dextrose. lactose, Fructose, or Sucrose or what ever sugar they add to the low carb milk will not sufice

Not necessarily the lactose that slows the digestion.. but the protein.Milk Protein is a conbination of whey and caseins.. with the majority of it being casein. That's why it wouldnt' be ideal PWO... when you're seeking the fastest absorbing carb and protein sources

    narkissos

thanx bro, that's the answer i was lookin for! I realized that casein protein is not nearly as biologically available as whey, but i didn't knwo it would slow uptake though!
