    Eggs

If you are doing AM cardio you want your first meal to be protien/ fats. I am currently eating egg whites but was wondering if i could leave the yolks in so i wouldnt have to remove all the yolks. any thoughts?

    Hmmmm, that seems off.......

    2 whole eggs = 12 grams protein (2x6)
    Fat is 4.5x2 = 9 fat grams.

    4 whites = 14 grams protein (4x3.5)
    Fat is ZERO

Total there is 26 grams of protein, and 9 grams fat.

I thought all the protein was in the egg white and the fat was in the yolk...
The label for my eggs says 7g pro and 5g fat for a whole egg. I dont know about just the whites.

Nope.... the yolk has protein too. Each white is usually only like 3.5g of protein at most.

Dude..... eggs are cheap. And why waste whole eggs when you can buy egg whites by the carton instead? You can get straight egg whites by the carton or buy egg beaters where they extract the vitamins from the yolk and mix it into the whites. Either is fine.

8-10 egg whites + 2 yolks is all you really need IMO as post cardio meal 1. i scramble mine w/some fat free cooking spray. taste ALOT better then hard boiling it.

Whole eggs are way cheaper than egg whites in a carton. Who cares if I throw out a couple yolks? Are you going to tell the chicken on me?
