How many grams of carbs are sufficient for your pre lifting meal? Right now I'm eating 1/4 rottissiree chicken (without skin) and a side of creamed spinach from Boston Market as my pre lifting meal. As I checked it, it came to 31 g of protein and 12 g of carbs. Is that too little grams of carbs to eat before lifting?
I did a search, and SwoleCat, who I think is one of if not the most knowledgeable one on the board, said in one thread basically that (when talking about carbs for energy) the carbs you consume pre lifting are not as important as the carbs you have been consuming over the last 6-10 hours.
