What do you guys think about Chick-Fil-A Nugets

Let me start by saying I did a search first and didn't find my answer.

I spend a lot of time on campus since it's my senior year of electrical engineering. They have a Chick-fil-A right next to the engineering building. I often get a 12 pack of nuggets for a pro/fat meal along with some flax. Just wondered what you guys thought of the nutrition for this. Below is the nutrition info for the nuggets. 40g of protein and these things taste so good that you feel guilty for eating them! a little Texas Pete and they're irresistable!

well you should already know the answer you are going to get from a lot of bros on here....NO

but i feel you, and sometimes the diet just aint perfect. of course you see the macros just like we do and you know you are mixing fat and carbs, but im here to tell you that the world isnt going to end its a fair amount of protein but i dont know that you need the flax. seems as though you are getting enough fat from the nugs, although its not a preferable fat.

all in all, if you dont care about being "clean" all the time then enjoy

If you are happy w/how you look including them in your diet and they don't prohibit you from progressing, then eat up. If such is not the case, may wanna keep drivin' past that joint. That would qualify as a cheat day item for me personally.

Thats so true swole! its good to recognize that not everyone has the same goals or desires. but then again, you have to know the answer to that question before you ask it, like i said you see the same nutritional info that we do, use your brain and figure it out

yeah, i know they're not perfect, but i don't have access to a microwave or a frige on campus since i live 45 minutes away. i know i'm mixing carbs/pro/fat, but that's about my best option for food for the money. there's days that i spend over 10 hours here without being able to leave, so i'm real limited on my food choices. i bring some stuff to eat, but can't bring all that much. on the fats, there's only 3.5g of saturated fats, but there was an article posted the other day talking about the benefits of eating some (not a ton) of saturated fats in addition to the unsat's., so i figured i was okay on that. i would prefer to stay clean, but like i said it's tough when i'm here for so long. just looking for options.

dammit! i knew someone was going to say that! i respect your advice though Swole. i don't eat them every day, but i'll still keep looking for other options.

I mean, don't get me wrong, there are other fast food choices that you could make that are worse. I'd look for some place that you can get a burger or chicken sandwich and toss the bun. Many places have low carb/no carb meat options.

Eh, too much sodium in one serving for my taste. Id agree that Id probably count this as a cheat day item, but hey, as SwoleCat said, if you find you're still making progress by incorporating it into your diet, eat up....just watch all those carbs when it comes time for cutting

At the same Chick-fil-A, they have Grilled Chicken Sandwiches. Eat the chicken breast and a tablespoon of flax.

It might be your pro/fat meal but what about all of the carbs that are in it.

they have a grilled chicken sandwich that's just as good as far as taste goes, you just don't get as much food for your money. with the bun, it will fill you up, but without the bun, there's not much left, unless you eat the lettuce and tomatoe too. here's an analysis of just the grilled chicken breast which is obviously better nutritionally. it's just that it costs almost the same and you get half the protein. i'm a broke college man as it is! i'll just have to suck it up and deal with it i guess. that or break into the Dean's office and use his microwave

Bring cans of tuna w/ you and eat them between classes. They need neither a microwave or a fridge.
