I heard that brown rice is supposed to be better for you than white rice, yet I checked the nutritional values and they're pretty much the same.
Also the same with wheat bread. I heard it's supposed to be better for you than white bread but their values are pretty much identical.
What's the deal?
less processed, less refined, better digested for the body...all in all whole grains are less man made and more natural and are digested slower.

This is true. However, when I eat rice it's pwo when I want quick absorbing/digesting foods, so the addition of fiber or fibrous foods wouldn't be my first choice being that fiber slows digestion.Quote:
