    Baked potato or brown rice?

What's better to have with my chicken breast in my PPWO meal, a plain baked potato or 1/2 cup of brown rice? I'm trying to cut.

brown rice is less starchy, red potatoes are less starchy than white potatoes and sweet potatoes are the least starchy of any potato.....however you do want some insulin response, so i dont think it would really make too much of a difference. I have used all types of potatoes and also brown and even white rice and wheat breads, all with good results.

i think the potatoe will help u fill your muscles glycogen faster than brown rice because it have a higher glycemic index so go for the potatoe in your post workout mean

no harm having potatoes..but it's a basic kinda thing to have a pwo..than a ppwo..and the ppwo meal..you would want to include some medium gi carbs..you would have spiked your insulin pretty well with your pwo...my 2 cents..

If you eat both meals within your "window" (which will differ for everyone a bit) , you can include any type of GI carb.
