    Is Iced Tea OK?

    Hi All,

Instead of downing plain water all day I have been looking for something for a bit of flavor and variety. I see a lot of people say drinking stuff like Crystal Light I believe its called, is perfectly fine. However we don't get that here and I have been looking for a similar product here, something which is sugar free, virtually calorie free and non-carbonated. I found this stuff called Manhattan Iced Tea (lite). It tastes amazing and I wanted to check that it's ok to have. Don't think I will ever have more than a bottle a day anyway. Please check it out here and let me know if its ok: http://www.clover.co.za/live/conten...ac635aba284cb50

To make it easier, here are the details:

Ingredients - Water, Natural Tea Extract Flavour, Citric acid, Aspartame, Flavourant, Sodium Benzoate (Preservative), Pimaricin, Sodium citrate, Colourants, ECGC Epigallocatechin gallate.

Nutritional info Per 100ml of Lite variant:
    - Energy: 1kj
    - Carbohydrates: 0g
    - Sodium: 16mg
    - Fat: 0g
    - Protein: 0.06g

    Thanks,
    X

I buy arizona diet green ice tea, just drink it like once twice a day to switch it up...(also has no aspartame)

I don't see how it could be "bad"

look at the ingredients on the labels. after reading enough on this site you should be able to determine for yourself which things are ok.

Ice Tea looks fine, if you don't get Crystal Light check into Sugar Free Kool-Aid, works just as well as Crystal Light same basic nutritional info too.

What is used to sweeten the sugar-free Kool-aid, you remember off hand?
    Aspartame?

It used to be sweetened with Aspartame, but it seems that they have changed the formula cause in the last couple months I have found it sweetened with Splenda instead. If you can't find the Splenda sweetened, you can always buy the plain unsweetened Kool-Aid and add splenda to it yourself too.

Well right now I am working on Methylated 1-Splenda. Its 500 times more sweeter than regular splenda, the drawback is its liver toxic.
